Frequently Asked Questions

Endovan action & ingredients

What is Endovan?

Endovan is an all-natural and hormone-free capsule formulated to quickly and safely increase the body's inherent fibrinolytic activity to help degrade excess fibrin that is the primary cause of adverse symptoms in women with fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and fibrocystic disease.

What is fibrin?

Fibrin is an insoluble protein that the body normally produces only in response to bleeding or inflammation. Fibrin play a major role in the development and exacerbation of fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and fibrocystic disease.

How does Endovan work?

Endovan works by boosting your body's ability to degrade excess fibrin buildup.

What are Endovan's ingredients?

Endovan is composed of Cramp Bark (viburnum opulus), Astaxanthin, Vitamin B6, EGCG (green tea extract), Lycopene, Chasteberry (vitex agnus-castus), and our patented form of Nattokinase called Nattokinase NSP2™. We adhere to the FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) which ensure that all of our ingredients meet quality standards and are free from any contamination so you can be confident in their strength and purity.

How do you ensure the quality of ingredients?

Every lot of Endovan is submitted for analysis to an independent laboratory where it's tested for microbiological contamination and then fingerprinted with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). HPLC involves separating the components of a mixture to identify and verify the potency of the constituent ingredients.

Is all nattokinase equally effective?

No. Nattokinase can be formulated multiple ways. Our patented Nattokinase NSP2™ is manufactured according to GMP standards and is specially designed to be heat-stable which ensures that it won't break down prematurely.

Do you use GMO ingredients?

No. All Endovan ingredients are non-GMO.

Does Endovan contain soy?

No. Our patented Nattokinase NSP2™ is derived as a byproduct of soy fermentation but contains no soy itself.

Do I need a prescription?

No. Endovan is a natural supplement and is available without a prescription.

How long has Endovan been on the market?

Endovan was introduced by Komodo Nutraceuticals in 2004. We now have Endovan customers in over 100 countries and are trusted by thousands of women worldwide.

Using Endovan

How much should I take?

Take one capsule two times per day with 8 ounces of water. While it's not necessary that Endovan be taken with food, it is often easiest to time the doses in that manner.

How soon will I notice results?

Results will depend on the severity of symptoms but most women notice improvement in the first one to two months with continued progress in subsequent months.

How long will I need to take Endovan?

Some women take Endovan for a few months at a time as symptoms occur and some women stay on it continually. If your body is prone to making excess fibrin then the unfortunate reality is that it may need ongoing management.

How will I know it's working?

How can I tell if Endovan is working?

The simplest way to tell whether Endovan is working is to track the frequency and severity of your symptoms and note the difference while on Endovan.

Will I feel uncomfortable?

Maybe. Some women with fibroids, ovarian cysts, and/or endometriosis report mild cramping initially (if this occurs, you can reduce the dosage to one capsule per day until it resolves). In addition, you may feel a little extra swelling in the affected area(s). This is normal and will resolve as your body works to rid your system of the excess fibrin.

Where does the fibrin go?

As your body degrades abnormal fibrin it is processed by the body as waste and is naturally expelled in the urine and with the normal menstrual flow.

Will I notice any change in my urine?

Maybe. Some women do report a slightly darkened urine when taking Endovan as the body flushes the excess fibrin.

Will my periods by heavier?

They might at first. Some women do notice a more watery flow during the first cycle or two. This is temporary and is a result of your body processing the excess fibrin.

Will I see any spotting between periods?

You may. Some women do notice a mild spotting during their first couple cycles. This is a transient issue and happens as your abnormal fibrin is broken down and flushed from your system.

Will Endovan shrink my swollen stomach?

If your swollen stomach is due to underlying fibroids, cysts, or endometrial adhesions then you will notice it resolving as your body naturally breaks down the fibrin.

Why do I sometimes feel more swollen in my breasts or abdomen when taking Endovan?

As fibrin is deteriorated by your system you may notice a slight increase in swelling or firmness in the affected area(s). This is temporary and a sign that your immune system is working to degrade the abnormal fibrin.

Safety & Interactions

Is Endovan safe?

Yes. Endovan is all-natural and the individual ingredients are safe

Does Endovan have any side-effects?

Endovan doesn't have any serious side-effects but as it works you may notice some minor side-effects. As fibrin is degraded by your system you may notice a slight increase in swelling in the affected area(s) and as your body flushes waste you might notice a minor darkening of the urine.

Endovan & Weight Loss

Why have I gained weight with this condition?

Fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and breast lumps all involve some degree of inflammation which - in addition to signalling the production of excess fibrin - causes the body to produce cortisol, a glucocorticoid steroid hormone produced by the adrenal glands. An increase in cortisol production is known to result in increased abdominal fat storage as well as fluid retention.

Will Endovan help me lose this weight?

Yes, Endovan isn't for weight loss, but as your body resolves the excess fibrin and the inflammation is reduced, it will naturally cease the call for increased cortisol which will allow you to lose weight.

Endovan & Fibroids

What are fibroids?

Fibroids are growths of excess fibrin that occur in and around the uterus. Fibroids often run in families and their occurance may have a genetic component.

What causes fibroids?

The root cause of fibroids is not known, but it is believed that hormones (estrogen and progestorone) and genetics both play a roll.

What causes fibroids to grow?

Fibroid growth seems to be regulated by estrogen and progestorone as they can grow rapidly when those hormone levels are high and will usually stop growing and sometimes shrink when hormone levels decline.

What types of fibroids are there?

Fibroids can occur inside the uterine wall (intramural), outward from the uterine wall into the abdominal area (subserous), and inward from the uterine wall (submucous).

What are the symptoms?

Symptoms of fibroids can vary in number and degree and can include swollen or bloated abdomen; heavy bleeding and prolonged and/or painful periods; excessive blood clots during menses; anemia; spotting between periods; pelvic pressure; frequent urination; back pain; and pain during intercourse. In some cases fibroids can make it difficult to become pregnant.

Why do fibroids make my stomach look larger?

The fibroids are partially responsible but abdominal swelling can also be exacerbated by excess fibrin in the uterine wall which causes inflammation and fluid build-up.

Why do I need to urinate so frequently?

Fibroids can impinge on bladder capacity depending on their size and position.

Are fibroids causing my constipation?

They could be. Fibroids can be positioned such that they press on the colon which can interfere with normal bowel function.

Could fibroids be causing my backaches?

Yes. Backaches are a common complaint of women who suffer with fibroids.

Will Endovan work if I have a very large fibroid?

Yes. Endovan boosts your body's ability to break down fibrin in small & large fibroids alike.

Is Endovan effective with multiple fibroids?

Yes. Endovan helps your body degrade excess fibrin whether it's associated with on fibroid or many.

Endovan & Ovarian Cysts

What are ovarian cysts?

Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled growths in or on the ovaries.

Why are ovarian cysts painful?

Damage from collapsed or recurrent cysts can cause fibrin-based adhesions to build up. This scarring can cause the ovaries to be attached to surrounding tissue resulting in pain. Some large cysts can also cause displacement of the reproductive organs.

What causes ovarian cysts?

Ovarian cysts can be caused or exacerbated by: irregular menstrual cycles, hormonal imbalance, hypothyroidism, smoking, early menstruation, excess body weight, and several prescription medications.

What types of ovarian cysts are there?

The most common ovarian cyst is the functional cyst which forms when a follicle is given the signal to grow in preparation for ovulation. If this follical fails to rupture and release the egg, it forms a follicular cyst. If the egg is released but the follicle reseals and accumulates fluid it grows into a corpus luteum cyst. Non-functional cysts include chocolate cysts (a blood-filled cyst resulting from endometriosis) and cystadenomas (developed from ovarian tissue).

How are ovarian cysts diagnosed

Ovarian cysts may be determined by imaging - via endovaginal ultrasound, CT, or MRI - or through laparoscopic surgery where small incisions are made, a scope is inserted, and the surgeon can identify, biopsy, or remove the cyst.

Why do I need to urinate so frequently?

Ovarian cysts and the associated fibrin-based adhesions can impinge on bladder capacity depending on their size and position.

Why do I feel bloated?

This may be due to fluid leaking from the cysts and/or pelvic inflammation as a result of the cysts.

Could ovarian cysts be causing my backaches?

Yes. Backaches are a common complaint of women who suffer with ovarian cysts.

Endovan & Endometriosis

What causes endometriosis?

The root cause of endometriosis is not known, but it is believed that hormones (estrogen and progesterone) and genetics both play a roll. Retrograde menstrual flow may also allow some endometrial cells to escape into the abdomen via the fallopian tubes.

How is endometriosis diagnosed?

Endometriosis is often suspected based on symptoms, findings during physical examinations, or an ultrasound. A definitive diagnosis is usually only made at time of surgery when visual inspection is possible.

What are the stages of endometriosis?

Endometriosis is classified into one of four stages (I-minimal, II-mild, III-moderate, and IV-severe) depending on location, extent, and depth of endometriosis implants; presence and severity of adhesions; and presence and size of ovarian endometriomas.

What is an endometrioma or 'chocolate cyst'?

An endometrioma is a blood-filled cyst that can occur when endometriosis tissue develops in the ovary. By definition, a patient with endometrioma has "severe" or stage IV endometriosis.

What are the symptoms of endometriosis?

Endometriosis symptoms may include swollen or bloated lower abdomen, heavy bleeding, prolonged and/or painful periods sometimes with excessive blood clots, fatigue, anemia, bleeding between periods, frequent urination, lower back pain, pain during sex, and fertility problems.

Does endometriosis make my stomach look larger?

Endometriosis can cause abdominal swelling due to excess fibrin in the uterine wall which can make your stomach appear larger.

Why do I need to urinate so frequently?

Endometriosis and the associated adhesions can impinge on bladder capacity depending on their size and position.

Is endometriosis causing my constipation and bowel pain?

Endometriosis and its adhesions can be positioned such that they press on the colon and small intestine which can interfere with normal bowel function. This is often mistaken for IBD (inflammatory bowel disease).

Could endometriosis be causing my backaches?

Yes. Backaches are a common complaint of women who suffer with endometriosis.

Endovan & Breast Lumps

What is fibrocystic breast disease?

Fibrocystic breast disease is the most common cause of non-cancerous breast lumps in women ages 30 to 50.

What causes breast lumps?

Fibrocystic breast lumps are caused by an over-growth of fibrin typically due to a hormone imbalance.

Are breast lumps common?

Yes. Over 60% of women experience breast lumps in their reproductive years.

How is fibrocystic breast disease diagnosed?

Diagnosis begins with a self- or doctors-examination and may be confirmed with mammography or biopsy to rule out breast cancer.

What can I do to minimize breast lumps?

Breast fibroids are negatively affected by caffeine so it's advisable to limit caffeine intake by reducing intake of coffee, tea, and soft-drinks.

Menopause

Is Endovan effective for women nearing, in, or past menopause?

Yes, and they may notice results more quickly as the reproductive hormones that contribute to abnormal fibrin growth naturally decline.

What if I'm undergoing hormone therapy?

Since estrogen and progesterone contribute to fibrin growth, you may see slower results than you otherwise would.

Will Endovan work if my periods have become irregular or ceased altogether?

Yes. Endovan will still help your body break down excess fibrin and will be aided by the fact that your reproductive hormones will be moderating.

Will I notice any bleeding or spotting while taking Endovan?

Perhaps. Some women with fibroids and/or endometriosis do report minor spotting for a short time when starting Endovan.

How will I know Endovan is working if I no longer have a period?

Without period-related symptoms, you'll want to watch for improvement in the other areas of common complaint such as swollen or bloated abdomen; pelvic pain and pressure; frequent urination; back pain; and pain during intercourse.

Fertility

Does Endovan affect fertility?

Fertility can improve if the underlying issue is caused by your fibroids, ovarian cysts, or endometrial adhesions.

Can I take Endovan while trying to conceive?

Endovan has not been studied in pregnancy. If trying to conceive, please discuss with your doctor before using Endovan.
